These are outtakes of production shots I took of Jet LI's first movie job in the US in 1996. Shot around South Texas with a crew of 100 plus. Shooting took about 4 months to finish. The director was Sammo Hung ( Hung Kam Po ) who used to co-star with comedian Arsenio Hall on a 1999 CBS TV series " Martial Law" produced by Carlton Cuse,producer of NAsh Bridges. Sammo Hung is a well-known Chinese martial arts actor and close friend of Jackie Chan.Here is the story line on Once Upon A TIme in China 6. Story line: Movie starts off with Wong, CLubfoot, and Aunt 13 travelling across America to go visit Bucktooth at his ne Po Chi Lam school. Wong befriends a man named Billy and they become good friends even though they can't speak each other's language. Billy loves everything about the Chinese once he meets them especially their fighting skills. During an attack the group gets split up and Wong hits his head on a rock and loses his memory. He knows how to do everything he did before but he just doesn't know who he is or remember anything like that.So Wong lives with Indians for a while before Clubfoot finally reminds
Master Wong who he is. As an injected subplot there are robbers who Master Wong, Cubfoot, and Billy have to take on in the final fight...

Jet Li returns to the role which made him a household name in
Hongkong -Wong Fei Hung. This time the action is taken ouf ohe East and move to the West.Having established Po Chi Lam in his native Canton, Wong decides to check on the progress of the newest branch that has opened in the newly colonized American land by old student Buck Tooth Sol. Along with now fiancee Aunt Yee and trusty sidekick Clubfoot ( know as Seven ) Wong makes the long journey west. Shortly after their arrival in the American West, the Chinese travellers befriend a young gunslinger name Billy. This new addition to the wagon soon proves his worthwhen the travellers ran into conflict with the
native American Indians and they all have to defend their families. In the ensuing battle, Wong is separated and subsequently loses his memory after hitting his head on a rock. Soon thereafter, the Chinese folk hero finds himself adopted by an Indian tribe who see his martials art ability as a definite advantae in their battle against a rival tribe. Events soon lead to the inevitable reunion between Wong and his former friends. But his friends soon find out that not only Wong doesn't remember but see his friends as potential enemies. Later in a battle between rival Indian tribes, Wong recovers his memory. Meanwhile, Wong's folks are in desperate search of their master.
On the way, Wong and his team of friends saw Chinese laborers being suppressed by a tyrannical white Mayor. No sooner had Wong left his new Indian friends when a brutal Mexican bandit came to rob the town and the coward Mayor betrayed his people. Wong ( Jet Li ) used his superb kungfu skills to fight off the western gunmen and hence gain recognition for Chinese martial arts in the west.The Once Upon A Time in China series featured numerous references to the oppression of the thousands of Chinese who went to the West in Search of a better life. This kungfu epic combines the best of veteran director Sammo Hung and producer Tsui Hark, mixing Western gunslingers with traditional Chinese sidekicks.
